Tieback anchors are used to provide pre-loading of structural systems by applying a lock-in tension load in the anchor tendon.
The tendon is then bonded to competent rock or soil by a cement-based grout. Tieback anchors may be either temporary or made permanent by incorporating a corrosion protection system. Depths can range from 25 to several hundreds of feet deep and carry loads of up to 400 tons.
Tieback Anchors are a cost effective alternative to:
- Cantilever retaining walls
- Internally braced systems
